The GDSN

The Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) is an internet-based, interconnected network of interoperable data pools governed by GS1 standards. The GDSN enables companies around the globe to exchange standardized product master source with their trading partners.

The GDSN is used as a mechanism to support high data quality through the use of authoritative data sources, real-time data synchronization, and standardization of data formatting.  Mighty Oaks uses the GDSN ito deliver on its committment to providing the highest quality data to our customers and end consumers.

UPC Port is our sub-system that manages GDSN data across the Mighty Oaks eco-system.  This includes our customers e-commerce stores. 

How we Work with Trading Partners

Mighty Oaks participation in GDSN is critical to ensuring that retailers on our platform have the highest quality data for the products they source from around the world.  We are able to access data across the 44 national GDSN trusted data pools.   

Through our participation in the GDSN network retailers who operate on our platform benefit from immediate updates to product descriptions, imaging, nutrition information, and product dimensions and packaging information displayed in relevant languages for the operating region.   

When a producer or consumer brand enables GDSN exchange with Meewasin/Mighty Oaks it becomes available to all retailers on the Mighty Oaks platform that list their product both on their e-commerce store and within their customer care system.
